Delino is positioned on a hillside above Parikia, carefully embedded into the landscape beneath the area of the ancient Temple of Apollo. Conceived as a contemporary semi-subterranean residence, the house follows the natural contours of the terrain rather than sitting apart from it, with planted roofs, native gardens and stone-built volumes allowing the architecture to merge quietly into the Cycladic hillside. From nearly every part of the property, the view opens across Paros Bay toward the sea and surrounding mountains, while the elevated western orientation captures the changing colour of the sunset throughout the evening.

Currently under construction and scheduled for completion at the end of 2025, the residence has been designed with an emphasis on scale, light and connection to the outdoors. Long horizontal lines, local stone walls and restrained materials create a calm architectural language that feels rooted in the island rather than imposed upon it. Lavender, thyme and low Mediterranean planting soften the terraces and pathways, while mature olive trees provide natural shade across the outdoor spaces.

The principal living area unfolds as one continuous open-plan space framed by floor-to-ceiling glazing. Natural light moves deeply through the interiors from morning onwards, while the full-width openings maintain uninterrupted views across the bay from the sitting room, dining area and kitchen. Pale timber cabinetry, natural stone flooring and muted finishes reinforce the understated character of the interiors, allowing the landscape and changing light to remain the focal point of the house.

Six bedrooms and seven bathrooms are arranged across the residence to provide both privacy and direct outdoor access. Several suites open onto private terraces or planted courtyards, creating quieter areas sheltered from the wind and summer heat. The primary bedroom enjoys particularly expansive sea views, with large openings positioned to frame both the coastline and the evening light over the water.

Outdoor living forms an integral part of the property’s design. The infinity pool extends toward the horizon and sits alongside shaded lounge areas and generous terraces designed for long summer days outdoors. Covered dining spaces and a built-in barbecue area are positioned to take advantage of the sunset orientation, while the terraced landscaping creates multiple levels of seating, privacy and circulation throughout the grounds.

Despite its sense of seclusion, Delino remains closely connected to Parikia and the island’s main harbour, restaurants and beaches. Its elevated setting also provides a natural climatic advantage, allowing airflow to move through the property during the warmer months while maintaining protection within the recessed architectural layout.
