Mark was raised in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland. He worked fourteen years in the financial services and healthcare industries. He left Corporate America and moved to Sarasota to buy a retail service business which he co-owned with his wife. They later sold the business and he began his career in the real estate industry in 2002. Mark thoroughly enjoys helping others with their real estate needs and finds it very rewarding when the result of his efforts is another happy client. Mark Coon is a highly accomplished real estate professional with over two decades of experience serving customers in the Sarasota and Manatee County area. A Baltimore, Maryland native, Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Baltimore. His professional journey began with a 14-year career in financial services, during which he excelled as a CPA with a leading international public accounting firm and held corporate management roles in the financial services and healthcare industries. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to co-own a retail service business and a real estate investment company, eventually inspiring his transition to residential real estate in the Sarasota area.

Mark is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Florida REALTORS®, and the REALTOR® Association of Sarasota and Manatee. He holds professional designations as a Certified Distressed Property Expert, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, and Certified Negotiation Expert.
